Biography
Yannick Lefevre joined Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs in 2015, where he performs research on digital signal processing in XG-Copper, and explores crosstalk mitigation strategies in Passive Optical Networks. He received a Master in Engineering Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Brussels, Belgium and the Universiteit Gent, Ghent, Belgium, in 2010, and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Applied Sciences and Engineering at the VUB in 2014. During his Ph.D., his research activities were focused on wavelength conversion in silicon nanowires and the modeling of nonlinearities in photonic crystal waveguides. Dr. Lefevre was the recipient of an Aspirant grant from the Research Foundation–Flanders (FWO) in 2010.
